DESCRIPTION:SCF Open House/Holiday Decorating Party to prepare our new sanctuary for the first worship services the next day. It is hoped that each householdwill donate a Christmas ornament or ornaments to decorate our SCF “Family Tree”. If you are unable to attend in person\, ornaments may be brought to a worship service and placed in a basket designated for that purpose. \nThey can also be given to \nChris Baldwin \nChris Hamilton \nLiz Haberman or \nGina Rosbrook. \nPlease include a short message that shares the importance of the ornament to your family\, as well as place your name on the ornament if possible. The plan is to create a book that contains the ornament pictures and stories that will keep the history of our SCF “Family Tree” as a treasure for all. We will gather in the new sanctuary at 3 p.m. to start our festivities. Please bring cookies or treats to share and the Hospitality Committee will provide beverages. Remember that no food or beverages will be allowed in the sanctuary except for water in a lidded container.

SUMMARY:SCF Annual Business Meeting & Reports Deadline
DESCRIPTION:The SCF Annual Business Meeting is scheduled for Sunday\, January 22\, following the worship service.  \nApproval of the “Proposed 2023 Budget\,” election of church officers\, and approval of amendment changes to the church’s By-Laws will be included in this important meeting. Ministry leaders are asked to submit their respective annual ministry reports to the church office by January 13 [note change in deadline] if they want them included in the “Annual Report.”m \nMOTION TO AMEND THE BYLAWS\nOn this year’s Annual Meeting agenda\, occurring January 22\, after the worship service\, is a motion to amend the SCF bylaws. This requires a signed ballot from each member.\nPlease find a copy of the bylaws\, with the suggested changes in red type\, with an attached ballot on the counter of the hospitality area. Ballots must be returned by the start of the Annual Meeting to be tabulated but may be returned at any time prior to January 22. If you would prefer an email ballot or a mailed ballot\, please let Rob Pearson know by January 15 for email or by January 11 for regular mail.\nNOTE: After the January 8 Worship service\, Gene Krueger will hold a question and answer session regarding the bylaws changes for anyone interested.
